Love this lake. Lots of room for busy boating days. There are several waterfront places to eat, Marina's to fuel up, and ramps to put your boat in. Several campgrounds along the shoreline too. We stayed a week in a lake house in July and loved our stay. The water appeared to be pretty clean and well kept everywhere. There were several beachy sandy areas to pull up to and rest or cool off. We are from TN but the drive was well worth it. Great lake overall.
My mom passed away so I went here because of childhood memories and I find it all locked up. It's beautiful but I wanted to see and do more
Such a beautiful place. If you have a kayak and the time I definitely advise to go to Dreher Island part of Lake Murray. The boats in the evening are very respectful of others and it’s a great adventure to paddle around and see all the herons and fish jumping!
Beautiful lake! Much larger than I expected but a lot of amazing places to stop when you're here. Not something you can do in an entire day. Plan the weekend and enjoy yourself!

Great. Went there as a kid and now again with my child. Lots of beautiful scenery and a dam to walk across. I gotta go again someday.
The amount of people that come to see the view is astounding. The city should do things for people that come together just because they want peace too.
